The daredevil stunt-based show Khatron Ke Khiladi is all set to return with season 14. From Abhishek Kumar to Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia to Aashish Mehrotra, Gashmeer Mahajani and more, celebrities are gearing up to face their fears and phobias. Aashish, who played the role of Toshu in the popular daily Anupamaa, quit the show to participate in KKK 14. The actor shared both his real and imaginary mom's reaction to his participation.

Aashish on being approached for KKK 14

Aashish, who is excited to be a part of the show, shared how he is worried and excited at the same time to participate in the KKK. Sharing about his preparation for the show, the Anupamaa actor said, "I haven't done any special preparation for the show. I am excited, but I am still so scared of what will happen."

In an exclusive conversation with Times Now/Telly Talk, Aashish shared how he was eagerly waiting to be approached for the stunt-based show. Sharing his excitement, he said, "When I got this opportunity, I was so excited. I was waiting for this moment and I got it. But yes, nothing can take away what the previous show has given me." Sharing further, Aashish, who received a mixed bag of reactions for his character of Toshu, said, "All the love and all the hatred that I have received, wherever I have reached today, I am very grateful for that. But that's the past and this is the present and I am living it."
For those who've come in late, Aashish chose to quit the show in order to participate in KKK 14. Director Kut Production (DKP) and producer Rajan Shahi got Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) Gaurav Sharma to play the role of Toshu.

Aashish shares Rupali's advice

As Aashish embarks on this adventurous journey with KKK 14, the actor shared both his reel and his real mom's reaction to his participation. Mehrotra played the role of Rupali Ganguly's on-screen son (Toshu) in Anupamaa and the two shared a close bond off-screen too. Sharinf how Ganguly's reacted, Mehrotra, talking to a leading portal, said, "The Anupamaa family is always with me and they all wish me luck. Rupali wished me and told me it’s a new chapter of your life. Dil khol ke perform karna and Jeet ke wapas aana. (Give your best performance and win the show)."
Talking about his mother's reaction, Aashish shared how his mom was scared upon hearing the news of his participation. He said, "My mom was very scared when she heard I’m doing the show, but thankfully she has come back with all the love and support for me. She is always with me."
