Designer Rohit Bal Remains In Critical Condition; Still On Ventilator Support

It's been more than two days that the iconic designer is on ventilator support at Medanta in Gurugram. His health condition had deteriorated due to a pre-existing heart condition. Currently he is under the care of Dr. Praveen Chandra.

Celebrated fashion designer Rohit Bal remains in an extremely critical condition. He is admitted to Medanta Hospital, Gurugram due to an existing heart condition. His current condition is reported to be critical and requiring ventilator support. The designer is under the care of Padamshree Awardee, Dr Praveen Chandra. It was reported, that Bal is also suffering from an infection that is making his recovery difficult.
The 62-year-old designer has encountered repeated difficulties related to alcohol abuse, resulting in numerous hospitalisations and stints in rehabilitation. In November 2022 last year, Bal was admitted to Medanta Hospital under critical circumstances.
It was in February 2010, that Bal underwent emergency angioplasty after experiencing a heart attack. It was reported that this attack had damaged a large part of his heart. He was then admitted under the care of cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Naresh Trehan.
