Ahmedabad: Over the span of three days, two teenagers and a 20-year-old took their lives in the city," police said on Sunday. A total of five suicide cases have been registered in Ahmedabad in last 48 hours.
According to the Times of India report
, "In the Guptanagar area of Vasna, 16-year-old Prakash Maru, a Class X student, was found hanging from a ceiling fan on Friday afternoon," stated Vasna police inspector R D Makwana. "While Maru was a Class X student, the motive behind his suicide remains unclear."
"An accidental death case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing," Makwana added.
"At Hansa Park Society in Narol, a 17-year-old girl named Nisha Baghel consumed poison at her residence on Thursday afternoon," revealed Narol police inspector R M Zala. Despite being rushed to LG Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries on Friday.
Police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations, added Zala.
In Anandnagar, a 20-year-old man from Rajasthan, Ramlal Meena, hanged himself at the staff quarters of Farki behind Vraj Complex," reported Anandnagar police. An accidental death case has been registered, and inquiries are underway.
In Sola, 37-year-old Ramswarup Das hanged himself with a bedsheet tied to a freight elevator angle on Friday evening, said the police. In Isanpur, 38-year-old Dhananjay Desai was found hanging at his home on Thursday night.
