Mumbai On Yellow Alert: Heavy Rainfall Likely To Hit City Today; Check Full Forecast

With city continuously grappling from heavy rainfall from the past few days, IMD has issued yellow alert for today for heavy rain. In the upcoming days, Mumbai is set to witness moderate to light rain with maximum temperature hovering between 25-27 degrees celsius and maximum temperature raningin between 30-32 degrees celsius.

Mumbai: The city is grappling with heavy rainfall from the past few days leading to various disruptions like long delays in local trains, waterlogging, traffic jams etc. As rain gradually recedes in Mumbai, India Meteorological Department (IMD) today has issued a yellow alert for the city for heavy rain. The maximum temperature is expected to be 31 degrees celsius and minimum temperature to be 26 degrees celsius.
According to IMD, on Monday, Mumbai received over 300mm of rainfall in just six hours in several parts of the city. Operations for BEST bus services, local trains and flights were delayed and some were cancelled.

Mumbai Weather Weekly Forecast

The city is expected to witness rain for the upcoming week. Temperatures are likely to fall over the weekend. On July 11, July 12 and July 13, Mumbai is expected to receive generally cloudy sky with heavy rain. Maximum temperature will hover around 31 degrees ceslius to 32 degrees celsius and minimum temperature will range between 26 degrees celsius and 27 degrees celsius. Later, on July 14 and July 15, Mumbai will receive rain with maximum temperature being 30 degrees celsius and minimum temperature being 25 degrees celsius.

Mumbai Civic Body On High Tide Alert

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) alerted the Mumbai residents to prevent going near to the beach and informed regarding high and low tide which the city may witness. Yesterday, BMC wrote on X, "Don't go to the beach during high tide. Stay alert, stay safe."
Today, BMC informed on X, "Generally cloudy sky with intermittent moderate to heavy spells of rain in city and suburbs."

IMD Issues Yellow And Orange Alert For Maharashtra

Areas such as Nandurbar, Dhule, Nashik, Jalagaon, Buldhana, Aurangabad, Palghar, Ahmednagar, Beed have received yellow alert. Areas including, Pune, Satara, Ratnagiri, Yavatmal have received orange alert for today.
