In other news. the Central Railway's initiative to introduce a special train service between Nagpur and Pune on Sundays proved to be highly successful, with the entire train being fully booked within just one hour of the reservation window opening. Acknowledging the increased demand for tickets to Pune from various sources, Tushar Kant Pandey, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Central Railway, took prompt action to organize a one-way special train (Train No. 01166) scheduled for November 19.
The Nagpur-Pune route is particularly popular in the region, primarily due to a significant number of Nagpur-based students and job-seekers traveling to Pune for higher education and employment opportunities. Following the Diwali break, many individuals eager to return to Pune found themselves on waiting lists for existing trains, all of which were fully occupied. The decision by the Nagpur division of Central Railway to operate a special train to Pune came as a welcome relief for many passengers. The train commenced its journey from Nagpur at 9:30 pm on Sunday, reaching Pune at 12:10 pm on Monday.
