Viral Video: Mumbai Police Station Becomes Unlikely Refuge for Stray Dogs
A senior Mumbai Police inspector has become an unlikely saviour for stray dogs. A now-viral video recorded by Sudhir Kudalkar, who’s in charge of the MHB Colony police station in Borivali West, shows dogs feeding on chicken and rice arranged by him. The officer was given the title ‘Hero to Animals’ by PETA for championing the cause of strays. Street dogs, often considered a ‘menace’, have an estimated population of over 1.6 lakh in Mumbai. A few dozen of them have found refuge in Kudalkar's place of work.
