Nearly two years after Brandon O’Quinn Rasberry was found dead at an RV park in Nixon, Texas, a 10-year-old boy has claimed during questioning for a different investigation that he had killed the man.
According to reports, Gonzalez County Sheriff's Office deputies had responded to a call about an unresponsive male, on 85 Wild Meadow, Nixon. There has been no resolution on the death of the man, who was 37 at the time. Then, on April 12, the 10-year-old suspect was being questioned by the school authorities after he allegedly beat a boy on a bus. During the investigation, the boy confessed to have shot and killed a man two years ago, when he was seven years old. Following the confession, the Gonzales County Sheriff's Office opened an investigation into the case.
The boy was later questioned by deputies of the Gonzales County Sheriff's Office and he "described in detail" how he killed Brandon O'Quinn Rasberry. The investigators said that at the time of Rasberry's death, the boy was living at the same RV park along with his grandfather.

“Finding out it was a 7-year-old that committed the murder, a senseless murder at that, it’s just tragic. It’s kind of hard to wrap your head around," Jonathan Fojtik, Rasberry's brother, said. “Brandon was a loving person. He’d give the shirt off his back for anyone.”
Since the confession, the Sheriff's office has recovered the weapon, which they said were sold at a pawn shop in Seguin. They were able to confirm that the gun was used to shoot Rasberry. The deputies also said that the boy has been taken to the San Antonio psychiatric hospital for evaluation. Before that, he was being detained in the Gonzales County for the incident in the bus.
