The latest attack in Gaza led to a massive uproar; Jacob was working as a relief worker in the Strip.

Among the seven aid workers who lost their lives in the alleged Israel Defense Force (IDF) airstrike on Gaza, an American-Canadian dual-citizen Jacob Flickinger has been identified. The Central Kitchen Gaza deployed the 33-year-old as a relief worker in the Strip. He was working in rescue ops and aid distribution to the vulnerable population at the time of the attack. He was part of a convoy of three vehicles that was attacked by the IDF Monday night in what had been described as a hellfire missiles hit.
The World Central Kitchen issued a statement after its members and relief workers were killed in an Israeli air strike. In the statement issued, WC Kitchen denounced the attack and termed Flickinger as one of seven 'beautiful souls', who lost his life late Monday night. Since the name of Flickinger was released, there was a growing curiosity about his personality and details before he was killed.

The love they had for feeding people, the determination they embodied to show that humanity rises above all, and the impact they made in countless lives will forever be remembered and cherished," the CEO of the organization for which Flickinger, Erin Gore's statement read.
