Hyderabad: A video is taking rounds on social media platforms which shows the mindfulness of a petrol pump staff member who stopped a major accident from happening. It showed the staff member's prompt reaction to the fire that broke out at the premises of a petrol pump. On Sunday morning at 10 am, when a lorry came to get fuel at the petrol pump suddenly burst into flames. While the incident caused panic among people present there, the staff member promptly brought the fire extinguisher and started to douse off the fire. The incident took place at the Nayara petrol pump in Telangana's Bhuvanagiri, which is nearly 40 kms away from Hyderabad.
The visuals of the incident was recorded in a CCTV camera installed at the petrol pump premise. As seen in the video, the fire was so intense and was emitting black fumes throughout the area.
The video showed an explosion took place suddenly, and then the fire gripped the vehicle. The fire had been stopped with the help of 4-5 fire extinguishers, averting a major tragedy that could lead to the loss of lives.
By the time the fire department received the information, the fire had already been put out. Sai Kumar, station Fire Officer of Bhuvanagiri Fire Station confirmed, "The lorry arrived at the petrol pump for fueling and suddenly caught fire. The petrol pump employees and others present at the spot responded quickly and doused the fire with the help of 4-5 fire extinguishers. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident. By the time we received the information, the fire was already put off".
