Hyderabad: A young man was brutally hacked to death by unknown persons on a busy road in Hyderabad. The horrific incident has been captured on a mobile phone by a resident living in the locality.
The video shows the victim, identified as Quddus, being chased by a group of men carrying what appears to be a knife. The men get hold of him and pin him to the ground. Two men are seen trying to convince the attackers to let Quddus go but they continue to assault him. One of the attackers is seen trying to hit Sameer with a pole but it narrowly misses him. The attacker then grabs hold of him and forcefully pins Quddus to the ground.
The incident was reported on the night of June 13 in Asifnagar.
What is even more shocking is that most of the passers-by did not intervene as Quddus was being attacked. However, it is said that they failed to intervene out of fear of the weapons that the attackers possessed.
The Asifnagar police have launched an investigation in the murder case. The police officals are trying to identify the accused witht the help of CCTV camera footages from the locality. They are trying to check whether the victim and the killers knew each other or whether it was a spontaneous argument that took an ugly turn.

Senior Congress leader G Niranjan called it an unfortunate incident but added that crime rate has come down in the state after the Congress assumed power. "Two murders were reported in Hyderabad yesterday and in both the cases police will initiate stern action and whoever is involved will not be spared," he said.
