The stabbing suspect who killed six people at a shopping center in Sydney was gunned down by Australian Police Officer Amy Scott. The Inspector was hailed as a hero for single-handedly taking down the man in his 40s who went on a killing spree earlier today. The female cop stopped the knife-wielding suspect who also critically injured eight others including minors at the Sydney shopping mall.
Inspector Scott, as per reports, is part of the New South Wales (NSW) Police Department and has been identified as a veteran cop. Earlier, residents, and several people online including some politicians praised the police officer for taking down the man involved in the fatal stabbing that took place in one of the largest cities in Australia.
This is not the first time that Scott has shown her fearlessness and bravery. In fact, the female cops have a decorated career. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also heaped praise on the police officer for confronting and shooting the attacker. "She is certainly a hero. There is no doubt that she saved lives through her action," remarked Albanese.
