Thomas Kingston, British financier and the husband of Lady Gabriella, died on Sunday. He was 45. Gabriella, 42, is the daughter of the Prince of Kent, the late Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin. He also dated Pippa Middleton, younger sister of Catherine, the Princess of Wales.
“It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas Kingston, our beloved husband, son and brother,” a statement on behalf of Lady Gabriella Kingston, Martin and Jill Kingston, Joanna Connolly and Emma Murray read.
"Tom was an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him. His death has come as a great shock to the whole family, and we ask you to respect our privacy as we mourn his passing," it added. Kingston died in Gloucestershire on Sunday. The Buckingham Palace said that emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 6 PM on Sunday. The 45-year-old's cause of death has not been announced yet.
Thomas Kingston got married to Lady Gabriella at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 18, 2019. He previously dated Kate Middleton's younger sister Pippa. Their relationship ended around 2011. Pippa then went on to marry James Matthews. She was good friends with her ex-boyfriend and Kingston also attended her wedding in May 2017.
Kingston and Pippa were spotted attending the Cheltenham Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse on March 14, 2013. They were also seen having dinner at Le Caprice restaurant on April 24, 2013.
Kingston worked as a director at Devonport Capital. He completed his bachelor's degree in economic history from Bristol University and previously worked at Schroders and Voltan Capital.
