In a video that received 6,000 likes, one TikToker (as TikTok users are called) stated, "Gen Zs, who previously preferred skinny guys, are now drawn to men who can protect them." Taylor Swift, who is dating a guy as such, had a significant role in this movement.

Taylor Swift is apparently altering women's taste in men. Several fans, popularly known as Swifties, are posting on social media about wanting to date a 'protector' like Travis Kelce ever since the popstar got into a relationship with him.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, women have started posting videos on TikTok and other social media platforms about their changing preference in men. These Gen Z fans say they want to date a man who is strong, rough "protector" types, over a stylish, slender one.
Swift started dating Kelce, star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, last year. The 34-year-old singer attended several NFL games, including the Super Bowl to support her boyfriend.
In a video that received 6,000 likes, one TikTok user stated, "Gen Zs, who previously preferred skinny guys, are now drawn to men who can protect them." And Taylor Swift is influencing their choice.
The Daily Mail report adds that men like Harry Styles and Timothee Chalamet 'previously swooned over for their baby faces and wafer-thin physiques'.
"Men throughout history were the warriors, the defenders, the cavemen. They hunted and fought but now they don't really have the chance to do that. This is in our primal instinct – males will fight against other males and they're more attractive to females if they win," a video on TikTok explained.
Social media users added that 'even in animated movies, we adore the prince who bravely faced the dragon and saved Sleeping Beauty even though he didn't yet know her'.
"I think guys who know how to fight are the hottest thing in the world," another person added.
