New Delhi: A 25-year-old man was beaten to death, by a group of people after being suspected of theft with three others, who suffered injuries in Delhi's Khichripur area on Sunday, said cops.
"Upon receiving a PCR call, police responded to the scene where four individuals were allegedly attempting theft in a residential property," officials reported.
"Sahil (25), son of Raj Singh, sustained fatal injuries with two stab wounds and was pronounced dead upon arrival at LBS Hospital," officials told PTI. "A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC, and investigations are underway," added cops.
"Three individuals - Vipul, Aditya, and Atul - have been arrested, while two others, Karan and Altaf, are being pursued," police revealed.
Kamaljeet alias Vicky, an associate of the victim, has a history of involvement in theft, robbery, and burglary cases. "CCTV footage is being examined, and efforts to gather further evidence and identify additional suspects are ongoing," police stated.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Sahil, Vicky, and their accomplices entered the residence with the intent to commit theft but were caught by the occupants and their associates, officials added. The situation escalated into violence, resulting in Sahil's death and injuries to the other three accomplices.
