New Delhi: A day ahead of the swearing-in, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has called a meeting with all elected MLAs of his party and his alliance partners - Jana Sena and BJP - to reach an understanding on cabinet sharing in the new government. With the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance winning 164 of 175 seats, all the three parties are eyeing at maximum representation in the new cabinet.

According to reports, Naidu's son, Nara Lokesh, is lilely to be made a minister in the new government. Lokesh, who served as IT minister in Naidu's last tenure, has emerged as a power centre in the party with his residence seeing a flurry of party MLAs aspiring to get a berth in the government to be headed by his father.
The TDP leader also needs to accommodate the BJP MLAs in his Cabinet. The Andhra government has a maximum limit of 26 cabinet positions, including the Chief Minister.
According to reports, Jana Sena, which won all 21 seats it contested, is likely to get five cabinet berths. In addition to the Deputy chief minister post, Pawan Kalyan could also get a significant portfolio such as Home, Deccan Herald reported quoting sources. The Jana Sena leader is likely to propose the names of leaders from backward class, SC, and Kapu communities to balance social equations in the meeting, according to media reports.
It is learnt that Pawan Kalyan had turned down the offer to join the Union cabinet in order to increase his party's representation in the Naidu cabinet.
The BJP is likely to get one or two positions in the cabinet. The party is likely to propose the names of Sujana Chowdary and Vishnu Raju as ministers.
At today's meeting in Vijayawada, the elected members are expected to elect Naidu as their leader in the assembly.
Shortly afterward, the leaders of the National Democratic Alliance would meet Governor S Abdul Nazeer to propose Naidu as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, news agency PTI said quoting TDP sources.
Naidu is scheduled to take oath as CM at 11.27 am at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram Airport on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and some of his Cabinet colleagues are likely to attend the swearing in ceremony, TDP’s official news bulletin said.
