Mumbai: On February 13, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has scheduled the installation of a gantry at the 15.750-kilometre mark on the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway through the Highway Traffic Management System. As a result, there will be a complete halt in the traffic flow of both light and heavy vehicles on the Mumbai canal during this period between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.
To ensure the smooth execution of the gantry installation, motorists are advised to take alternative routes. Light vehicles traveling from Pune to Mumbai on the expressway will be redirected from lane km 55.000 on the Mumbai canal to the Mumbai-Pune National Highway no. 48 via the old Pune-Mumbai route.
Similarly, light vehicles and buses on the Pune to Mumbai Expressway, heading from Pune to Mumbai, will be diverted from Khopoli Exit KM 39.800 to National Highway no. 48. They will then proceed through Khopoli town and continue their journey via the Mumbai canal, passing through the Shendug toll plaza.
