'This Bhatakti Aatma Will Not Spare You': Sharad Pawar On PM Modi Jibe

The post of PM, Sharad Pawar said, is of the country and not of a particular party. The incumbent must think of all segments of society, castes and creeds, he added. "But Modi forgot to do this. I think he did it deliberately. Minorities like Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis are an important part of the country. They must have faith in the government but Modi failed to do this," Pawar said.

Sharad Pawar made the comment while referring to PM Modi's speech in Pune on April 29 amid the Lok Sabha election.

NCP (SP) president Sharad Pawar on Monday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling him a 'bhatakti aatma" (wandering restless soul)' during the Lok Sabha campaign and said "this soul will not spare you."
Pawar made the comment while referring to PM Modi's speech in Pune on April 29 amid the Lok Sabha election.
"Even amid political criticism, we maintain dignity. But Modi called me a 'bhatakti aatma' during the election campaign. In a way, it is good as the aatma is immortal and it will not spare you," the senior politician said.
Addressing a party congregation in Ahmednagar on the occasion of the NCP's 25th foundation day, Pawar also sought to know whether PM Modi had the mandate to lead the country.
"They (BJP) did not have a majority. They had to take the help of the Telugu Desam Party and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumarto form the government," Pawar said.
The 83-year-old also remarked that the new BJP-led NDA government was different from the earlier ones.
"Today, because of your vote, they have to say this is not a Modi Sarkar, but the Government of India," Pawar told the gathering, referring to the Lok Sabha poll results.
The post of PM, Sharad Pawar said, is of the country and not of a particular party.
"But Modi forgot to do this. I think he did it deliberately. Minorities like Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis are an important part of the country. They must have faith in the government but Modi failed to do this," Pawar said.
He also accused the prime minister of using words that are not deemed fit for his constitutional post. PM Modi called the Shiv Sena (UBT) "nakli (fake) Shiv Sena. Does a person occupying the post of PM call anyone or any group "nakli"," Pawar asked.
At the gathering, Pawar also asked party workers to work towards the expansion of the party and help it form new government. "Not only in Maharashtra, but we will also have to work in Haryana and Jharkhand where elections are scheduled to take place in the next three months," Pawar said.
