Mayank Yadav has impressed everyone with his raw and searing speed during the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). But he truly stole the show during his spell against RCB.
Yadav's performance has sent shockwaves through the cricketing world. Cricket pundits are raving about his potential, highlighting him as a future pace sensation in Indian cricket. With the ability to consistently clock over 150 kmph, Yadav has the potential to join the elite group of express fast bowlers that India has seen over the years.
Against RCB, he unleashed a thunderbolt of a delivery, clocking a blistering 156.7 kmph on the speed gun, setting a new IPL record for the fastest delivery of the season so far.
Yadav's record-breaking delivery added an extra layer of excitement and drama to the IPL season.
As news of Yadav's record-breaking delivery spread like wildfire on social media, cricket fans and pundits hailed the young pacer's achievement.

For someone who has played just one first-class game so far, and that too in 2022, the rise has been nothing short of meteoric.
Yadav is only 21 years old, but his accuracy and impeccable control are other aspects that have caught everyone's attention. After all, pace with accuracy is a deadly combination.
"Whenever we were in Delhi, we spoke at length about accuracy because the pace can be counterproductive. So he worked hard in the nets to pitch the balls in the right areas. He was even bowling yorkers yesterday, which was something that was missing last year, so adding that to his arsenal has definitely helped him. So he is an excellent prospect for India."
With Mayank taking the IPL 2024 by storm, it has naturally sparked a question amongst Indian cricket fans: Could he be on the flight to the USA for the upcoming T20 World Cup?
"Only time will tell, but if he keeps bowling well, he shows good performances, then I am sure he is on the radar of the India selectors. If he keeps performing like he did against Punjab Kings, then a possibility cannot be ruled out," said his Delhi Ranji team coach Devang Gandhi.
