Manchester United Legend Sends Furious Message to Premier League over Manchester City's 115 Charges

Manchester United and Arsenal legends have called out the Premier League for its lack of action on Manchester City's 115 charges of financial breach. However, Premier League CEO Richard Masters has spoken about the hearing into Man City's alleged breaches of financial rules and explained why there has been a delay.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has demanded that the Premier League take cognizance and address Manchester City's 115 charges urgently.
Expressing his concerns during the latest episode of the Vibe with FIVE podcast, he said, "We'll wait to see what happens there, and you know what I'm not even bantering Man City about it, I think for football in general, the broadcasters, media, fans, and Man City players and staff and everyone connected to that club, there's a cloud over football [and] Man City with these charges."
"Two years since the charges first came out, they've won two Premier League's since then. They've been allowed to win two Premier Leagues so the powers that be need to knuckle down and get this done for the good of the game and the betterment of the game."
Ferdinand is not the only former player to sound his concerns as former Arsenal player Ian Wright also believes it is 'unfair' on City players that the 115 charges against the club continue to hang over them in the wake of their latest Premier League title triumph.
"I think it's unfair, with the uncertainty that comes around it," he said.
"It's unfair on the legacy that these players are building.
"You watch them that [Netflix] Treble documentary; the drive and determination to try and do what they've done is unbelievable.
"It's unfair that they've got all of this around them.
"The sooner they get this resolved, the better.'
Meanwhile, Premier League CEO Richard Masters has spoken about the hearing into Man City's alleged breaches of financial rules.
In an interview with The Times, "All we have said is that a date has been set for the hearing," he explained. "We haven't said when that is.
"Our rulebook requires these commissions to be held in private, and everything to be confidential." In the meantime, City continued their reign of dominance in the Premier League after a 3-1 victory over West Ham United secured their fourth consecutive title.
