KEY HIGHLIGHTS
  • Cody Rhodes will face Logan Paul at King and Queen of the Ring
  • He will defend Undisputed WWE Championship against Logan
  • WWE has confirmed 5 matches for the show
The WWE action will move to Saudi Arabia after nearly seven months and a total of two shows will take place there. The WWE action will kick off with Smackdown, scheduled to take place on May 24. A day later, the King and Queen of the Ring will also take place in Saudi Arabia.
WWE has already confirmed that the title match between Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul will be the main event. Cody will put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Logan, who is the United States Champion. Logan's title will not be on the line.
Cody had teased that his match against Logan would be a title vs title match but that isn't happening. Logan has only defended the US Championship twice since winning it at Crown Jewel 2023 that took place in Saudi Arabia.
Becky Lynch will defend her Women's World Championship against Liv Morgan. Becky, who fell short against Rhea Ripley at Wrestlemania 40, clinched the title by winning a Battle Royal. Rhea was forced to relinquish the title due to an injury. There is no official news on Rhea's return as of now.
The Intercontinental Championship will also be on the line and Sami Zayn will defend the title against Chad Gable and Bronson Reed in a triple-threat match. Sami ended Gunther's historic title reign at Wrestlemania 40.
Sami and Kevin Owens retained their Undisputed Tag Team Championship against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a Saudi show last year. Sami will aim to retain the IC title too.
WWE will crown King and Queen of the Ring at the premium live event. The two finalists from Raw and Smackdown will be decided next week. Randy Orton looks favourite to win the crown for the first time in his career.
WWE crowned the 2021 King and Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia. Xavier Woods won the King's title while Zelina Vega became the Queen of the Ring.
The World Heavyweight Championship will not be defended at the show and Damian Priest does not have a match. He won the title at Wrestlemania 40.
Bayley, who is the WWE Women's Champion, too doesn't have a match on the show. She defeated IYO Sky to win the championship. No tag team title will be defended at King and Queen of the Ring 2024. Plenty of action is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia next week.
