What started as a viral post has now led to fans witnessing a solid bromance between Shah Rukh Khan and John Cena. The event started with Cena casually singing Shah Rukh Khan’s popular number “Bholi Si Surat” from the blockbuster movie “Dil Toh Pagal Hain” along with former WWE star Gurv Sihra.
Although it was an old video but fans were immediately hooked to listen Cena speak in Hindi, that too so fluently. And given the fan following the WWE star enjoys in India, it was obvious that it would draw attention of the megastar of Bollywood.
“Thank u both…. Love it and love u @JohnCena , I’m gonna send u my latest songs and I want a duet from the two of u again!!! Ha ha,” wrote Shah Rukh on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) as he reposted the video.
Cena responded to Shah Rukh’s request and thanked the actor for bringing happiness to “so many in the world” but didn’t confirm if fans would get a duet from him anytime soon. “You have given so many in the world so much happiness, thank you for all you do,” Cena wrote in response.
Cena’s last appearance in WWE was in November last year at Crown Jewel, where he squared off against Bloodline member Solo Sikoa, who won the match. Since then there have been indications of his return, but it is yet to be announced. Cena also visited India last year to take part in Superstar Spectacle, where he teamed up with Seth Rollins in a tag team action against Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.
Meanwhile, Gurv was part of WWE’s faction “The Bollywood Boyz” before being released by the company in 2021. He was a prominent figure in the tag team division on WWE 205 Live. Prior to this they performed under the name “The Singh Brothers” and worked alongside Jinder Mahal. The two also held the WWE 24/7 Championship a total of nine times collectively with Sunil winning it four times.
