Rhea Ripley’s dominance and title reign has been one for the ages. Her most recent title defense came against none other than ‘The Man’ herself, Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 where Mami displayed dominance to continue her impressive reign not only as the Women’s World Championship but also as the unofficial leader of one of the most hated factions in WWE, The Judgement Day.
Bad news beckons for Rhea as according to reports, one of the most loved superstars on the female roster has seemingly injured herself and now might have to spend some time away from the company. Although the severity of the injury has not been confirmed, it seems as though it is severe enough to force her to vacate the title, a feat which could happen as early as Tonight’s (April 15) Episode Of Monday Night Raw.
“The issue is severe enough that the talk internally is that Ripley may be forced to vacate her Championship, possibly as soon as tonight's episode of RAW.” Said a report by PWlnsider
It will be interesting to see if the reports are true as Rhea Ripley has been announced to appear on the Red Brand tonight in order to confront her former tag team partner, Liv Morgan in what promises to be an emotional exchange between the former best friends. Last week’s episode of Raw saw Liv Morgan ambush the champion in the locker room and cause some serious damage to Mami.
Who Will Get The Women’s World Championship?
Although we will have to see what WWE has in store for the Women’s World Championship, some frontrunners do come to mind with The Eradicator having made lots of enemies over the course of her successful title tenure. Liv Morgan is the obvious one here. Ever since her return from injury at the 2023 Royal Rumble, Morgan has been on a flying streak and a possible title reign will only help boost her popularity with the WWE Universe. Although Morgan may be the favourite, Nia Jax and Becky Lynch are also currently not involved in any story lines and they were the last two to face Rhea for the coveted title.
