India beat Pakistan by six runs in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 match played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday (June 9). The Rohit Sharma-led side successfully managed to defend the total of 119 runs against Babar Azam’s men to win the second match in a row. In reply to the 120-run target, Pakistan scored 113 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
After India beat Pakistan in the Group A match, former Indian opener Navjot Singh Sidhu and spinner Harbhajan Singh were seen celebrating together in the commenatry box. The video of the duo’s celebration, in which Sidhu can be seen hugging ‘younger brother’ Harbhajan, is going viral on the internet.

In the India-Pakistan match, Jasprit Bumrah picked up three wickets for 14 runs in four overs, and two Pakistani batters were sent back to the pavilion by Hardik Pandya, who finished the game with figures of 4-0-24-2. For his super show with the ball, Bumrah won his second Player of the Match award in the T20 World Cup 2024.
