KEY HIGHLIGHTS
  • WWE Bash in Berlin will take place on August 31
  • Cody Rhodes will defend his title against Kevin Owens
  • Gunther will face Randy Orton
The WWE action will move to Berlin and WWE will host the Bash in Berlin there on Saturday (August 31). Berlin will also host the Smackdown before the pay-per-view. WWE has started a new trend of hosting Smackdowns before the pay-per-view overseas and it will continue in Berlin. The company also hosted a pre-show there.
A total of five matches will take place at the Bash in Berlin. The matchcard includes three championship matches and two non-title matches. Here we have a look at the Bash in Berlin predictions -
Cody Rhodes vs Kevin Owens: Cody will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Owens. It could be the opening match of the show. While Cody is all but set to retain the title, Owens could turn heel and attack him after the match.
Gunther vs Randy Orton: Gunther will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Randy. Gunther isn't expected to lose the title in his very first title defence. Their storyline could continue after the Bash in Berlin event.
CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre: Punk and McIntyre will lock horns in a strap match. McIntyre has a 1-0 lead against Punk. Punk is expected to win the match, leading to another tie between them.
The Terror Twins vs The Judgement Day: The team of Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest will team up against Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio. On paper, the team of Rhea and Damian is the strongest but the Judgement Day could shock them with a win. Liv and Dominik are heels and will use unfair means during the match.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs The Unholy Union: With an aim to regain the Women's tag team title, the team of Belair and Cargill will challenge The Unholy Union. They are likely to regain the title two months after losing it. They lost the titles at Clash at the Castle in June.
