At WrestleMania XL, Damian Priest declared himself the World Heavyweight Champion, marking his ascent to the pinnacle of the WWE. Disco Inferno, a seasoned wrestler, thinks RAW Tag Team Champion R-Truth might be his next opponent for the championship.
Since Truth's return to WWE in November of last year, R-Truth has played a crucial role in Monday Night Raw segments centered around The Judgment Day. Due to his desire to join the group, the former US Champion and the faction have been at odds.
Disco Inferno gave a thorough evaluation of R-Truth's work after rejoining the promotion while speaking on Keepin' It 100. Furthermore, he hinted that Truth and Priest would face off for the World Heavyweight Championship in a big title battle at a high-profile live event as a result of the present booking.
"Let me tell you how great their bookings have been lately because I'm telling you what they're going to do here. They love Truth. Truth is 50-something years old. He's done everything they've asked him to do, and he's one of the most over characters on the show right now. I think they can keep telling the story, and they can get a PPV title match between Truth and Priest out of it. I think the fans will buy it too."
There is a backstory between Priest and Truth that may lead to a more involved plot in the upcoming months. Jey Uso is currently the next contender for the championship. On the red brand, the match could, nevertheless, happen in the upcoming weeks.
New champions, challengers, and stars make their debut on Monday Night RAW ahead of the annual WWE Draft and Backlash in France, signaling the beginning of a new era for RAW following WrestleMania. Truth's innocent innocence, however, got him into trouble on The Judgment Day when he attempted to rejoin them during their celebration. A six-man tag bout against Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh followed the program.
Regretfully, until John Cena entered the ring and turned things around, The Miz and Truth were down one man throughout the bout. The match was ultimately won by the trio with a Five-Knuckle Shuffle and an Attitude Adjustment.
